Social media platforms like X offer a paradoxical experience: they are home to the world’s fastest information but are often bogged down by toxic culture and “brainrot” content. To solve this, a new startup called Noscroll has launched an AI-powered agent designed to handle the scrolling for you, delivering only the “signal” through direct text messages.

Outsourcing the Digital Grind

The premise of Noscroll is simple: you outsource your news consumption to an AI. Instead of losing hours to an endless feed, the bot monitors your interests and texts you when something important happens.

The project was founded by Nadav Hollander, the former CTO of OpenSea. After leaving the NFT marketplace, Hollander found himself in a love-hate relationship with social media—appreciating the information but hating the “fast food” feeling of the experience. He built Noscroll to stay informed without the emotional toll of manual browsing.

How the AI Agent Works

Getting started is straightforward. Users text the AI agent at (415) 718-4828 to receive a setup link. By authenticating your X account, the bot learns from your likes, bookmarks, and followed accounts to understand your preferences.

Beyond Social Media

Noscroll doesn’t just watch X. It scans a massive range of sources, including:

  • News sites and blogs
  • Reddit and Hacker News
  • Substack newsletters and research papers
  • Local political updates

Personalized Delivery

Users can chat with the bot in natural language to refine their interests. You can set the cadence of your updates—from weekly digests to real-time alerts for breaking news. Each text includes a brief AI summary and a link to the full article.

Professional and Niche Utility

While tech enthusiasts use it to track AI developments, the bot has seen adoption in niche areas like Kyoto restaurant openings, anime industry news, and job listings. For journalists or professionals who must be “always on,” the bot acts as a digital deputy, monitoring specific beats so they don’t have to.

Noscroll currently costs $9.99 per month, though it offers a seven-day free trial and a sample digest for new users. The service also supports group chats on platforms like Telegram, allowing teams to stay updated collectively.
