Surat-based startup Rocket is moving to fill this gap. Moving Beyond the Codebase

According to Rocket co-founder and CEO Vishal Virani, while tools like Claude Code have made writing code significantly faster, running a successful business requires more than just a functional codebase. Rocket 1.0 aims to provide the missing link by connecting research, product development, and market intelligence into a single automated workflow.

The platform produces comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) in PDF format. These are not simple chatbot responses; they are structured reports covering:

  • Unit economics and pricing models.
  • Go-to-market (GTM) recommendations.
  • Competitive tracking, including traffic trends and website changes.

Data-Driven Insights and Human Oversight

Rocket’s analysis draws from over 1,000 data sources, leveraging Similarweb’s API, Meta’s ad libraries, and proprietary web crawlers. While the reports provide a sophisticated “vibe” of professional consulting, the analysis is often synthesized from existing market data. Consequently, the company suggests that users treat these outputs as a foundation to be validated rather than absolute truth, offering human support for users who need to refine their strategy further.

Scalable Growth and Heavyweight Backing

The startup’s value proposition has already attracted significant investor interest and user traction. Rocket raised a $15 million seed round in September from prominent backers including Accel, Salesforce Ventures, and Together Fund.

Key Growth Metrics:

  • User Base: Expanded from 400,000 to over 1.5 million users across 180 countries.
  • Profitability: Operates at gross margins exceeding 50%.
  • Customer Base: Small- and medium-sized businesses make up 20–30% of the clientele.

Subscription Tiers:

Rocket offers a tiered pricing model to suit different needs:

  • $25/month: Basic application building.
  • $250/month: Strategy and research, including “McKinsey-grade” reports.
  • $350/month: Full platform access with complete competitive intelligence.

By positioning itself as a low-cost alternative to traditional strategy consulting, Rocket is betting that the future of entrepreneurship lies in AI-driven decision-making, not just AI-driven execution.
